Everyday Sunday Inpop Records band Everyday Sunday claims the No. 1 song on Radio & Records Christian Rock chart this week. “Wake Up! Wake Up!,” Everyday Sunday’s debut single and title track from its forthcoming May 22 release, rocketed to the top after a mere ten weeks. Debuting at radio on Jan. 22, “Wake Up! Wake Up!” is the band’s first ever No. 1 hit at Rock radio. Shane Boyd of Pure Tracking radio promotions, who is working the single, comments, “Everyday Sunday is back with a vengeance! The band has proven that it can compete with the big ones; the new Everyday Sunday is here to stay!” Band frontman Trey Pearson comments on the news, “We are extremely humbled, honored and thankful for all the radio stations that have supported us. It is awesome to see people getting as excited about our new songs as we are!” Comprising Trey Pearson (lead vocals), Jesse Counts (guitar), Aaron Eikenbery (guitar), Brandon Eikenberry (bass) and Kevin Cramblet (drums), Everyday Sunday hails from Columbus, Ohio. Attracting a national audience with its 2001 independent Christian Hit Radio single, “Just a Story,” Everyday Sunday joined Flicker Records’ roster in 2002. The band released two successful projects with Flicker, Stand Up and Anthems for the Imperfect, while raking in numerous accolades, including being named among CCM Magazine’s “Favorite New Artists of 2003,” as well as “Best New Artist of the Year” by TVU Music Television. Also in 2003, Everyday Sunday made an impact as one of the Top 10 “Major Impact Artists” for CHR, and its single “Hanging On,” from Stand Up, was the No. 6 most played CHR song of the year. Produced by Ian Eskelin (Krystal Meyers, Stellar Kart, All Star United), Wake Up! Wake Up! delivers the same diversity and solid pop sound that has come to define Everyday Sunday’s music. Sanctus Real Recipient of 2005’s Modern Rock Album of the Year GMA Dove Award and 2006’s most played artist at CHR radio (R&R), Sanctus Real brings its acclaimed brand of Rock to venues across the Southeast and Midwest on its 14-city spring “The Face of Love Tour.” Touring in support of its hit album, The Face of Love, the band will be playing fan favorites, as well as chart toppers from the current album, including the title track, the No. 1 hit “I’m Not Alright” and its current Top 5 radio single, “Don’t Give Up.” Launching April 23 in Nashville during Gospel Music Week, the tour features special guests, Needtobreathe and This Beautiful Republic. The entourage travels together through mid-May and plays concerts in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma and Arkansas before wrapping up May 11 in Dallas, Texas. All the latest tour updates can be found at www.SanctusReal.com. “We are thrilled to be headlining a tour this Spring with our friends, Needtobreathe and This Beautiful Republic. We've known both bands for a long time, even share hometowns with TBR, and are anxious to finally share the stage with these guys. We are excited to bring our fans a great show...we're going to give them our best,” says Sanctus Real front man, Matt Hammitt. “On top of that, we’re really passionate about sharing information on a ministry we’ve been arm-in-arm with for a while now, the Mocha Club [www.mochaclub.org],” adds Hammitt regarding the African Leadership initiative. “This organization is making a difference on a forgotten continent and is meeting the physical needs of Africans as its leadership network offers life-sustaining hope to those that God calls ‘the least’ of His children. We’re asking our fans to become educated about this and consider how they can walk beside us. We really see our efforts together making a world of difference in a real battle against HIV/AIDS, poverty and hopelessness, and giving orphans or a street child a second chance at life.” When Sanctus Real plays the song, “The Face of Love,” on this tour, concertgoers will be able to see video running with images of the work being done through African Leadership in Darfur, Sudan. Since Sanctus Real broke on the national scene, the band has looked for opportunities to partner with charitable organizations and began working with African Leadership after realizing the incredible need in Africa. Sanctus Real's endorsement of the Mocha Club on its The Face of Love Tour this spring will provide essentials such as mosquito nets to prevent malaria, food, clean water, and desperately needed medication to the refugees of Darfur, Sudan. One of the top Christian rock bands today, Sanctus Real released its third national studio album, The Face of Love, to wide critical acclaim. Inspired by real-life heartache and rediscovered joy, the emotions behind each track on The Face of Love are vulnerable and undisguised, making this album the band’s most accessible project of their career and exhibiting the band’s progression both musically and lyrically. Embraced by fans, the album jumped back on the Billboard Top 200 in December after releasing April 2006 and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. The album also sparked the radio embraced CHR singles, “I’m Not Alright” and “The Face of Love.” A multi-format hit, “I’m Not Alright” further landed at No. 1 and No. 5 respectively on the CRW and R&R yearend Christian Rock charts after spending six full weeks at No. 1 and becoming the band’s first MTVu video. Phil Joel Solo artist, songwriter and founder of deliberatePeople, Phil Joel encourages children, and parents, to add a little rock & roll to their Bible time with the deliberateKids album, in stores May 1. On the heels of last year’s compelling the deliberatePeople. album, Phil’s first children’s project begins a new chapter in the deliberatePeople movement. He comments, “For the past six years, my wife Heather and I have been involved in children’s ministry at our church. Kids are such little sponges, which is a great thing, provided we can surround them with the right content to soak up. As a parent, I’m looking for Bible-based tools to help raise my kids in a world where there is an aggressive media assault directed at our children. My hope is that this CD will be one of those tools.” Featuring upbeat rockers and fun sing-a-long lyrics deliberateKids teaches core spiritual principles and strong Biblical truth. The project was birthed from songs Phil and Heather were writing for their church Sunday school program. “Most of the CD’s songs were written and used to reinforce our Sunday school teaching,” explains Joel. “We decided to record the songs so that the kids could listen to them in the car or at home. But once we got the songs into the studio, they transformed into little energetic rock songs. The whole idea is to plant seeds of truth into the hearts of our kids while they are young through music that will be enjoyed by kids and parents alike.” “Phil has created a product combining great songs and fun production with lyrics that communicate God’s principles in a relevant way,” says Chris Thomason, president and co-founder of Indelible Creative Group. “I believe this ‘kids’ project is going to be a favorite of many adults for all of these reasons.” deliberateKids will be released by Indelible Creative Group via Word Distribution May 1. Derek Webb Beloved singer/songwriter and well-known controversialist, INO Recording artist Derek Webb is releasing his fourth solo studio project, The Ringing Bell, on May 1. With guaranteed confrontational and challenging lyrics, Webb provides his audience with a deep theological approach to today’s issues with great music. “I do not do things in moderation,” Webb admits. “I think The Ringing Bell is a record about peace on the whole…be it literally, conceptually, personally, nationally, or even spiritually.” “I felt like there was more to say about the subject,” he says. “This is too important of a moment historically to not say more about the idea of peace. It’s right in my face at all times if I claim to be at all concerned with anything that Jesus ever said.” The Ringing Bell, as the title suggests, is a collection that sounds clearly through the noise of the day, beckoning some, and warning others. It’s a call to meaningful conversations and it’s a great time. It injects songs into the cultural bloodstream that will move listeners to reflection and action while moving their feet. Webb hopes this record is a bit of a surprise. “Inadvertently I feel like I have somehow mysteriously made my most commercial record,” Webb laughs. “It’s definitely my most accessible one. I feel like it brings together the best elements of what people have liked about my music up to this point.” Fresh on the heels of wrapping up the project, Webb was recently featured in the March 26th edition of USA Today, along with singer Rickie Lee Jones, in a two-column spread regarding the twisted ties of politics and religion. In the article, Webb comments, “I hope to tell people what I really see when I look at the world…it’s the only medium I have, and it’s as good a place as any to start.” To view this article in it’s entirety, click here. downhere World Vision launches the “Wide-Eyed And Mystified” tour that is being headlined by one of Christian music’s veteran rock bands, downhere, that also features the exciting newcomer, Jason Gray. The spring tour kicks-off in San Bernardino in March and runs through May 20th, targeting the west coast, southwest, and southeast regions. Circleslide will join their labelmates, downhere and Gray, for the first half of the tour and Sevenglory will be the guest artist on the last half during May. “We are so excited to get on the road to begin this tour that was named after our third album on Centricity Records, Wide-Eyed and Mystified,” says downhere. “We view ourselves as ministers to the church and we want to share the journey of faith with our fans, so hopefully our music will be a different voice in their lives. To be able to combine the ministry with such a wonderful organization as World Vision, that works tirelessly to help combat poverty and injustice for families and children around the world, is truly a blessing.” Hailing from Canada, downhere hit the U.S. market in 2001 to high critical acclaim and the support continues with their first release on Centricity Records, Wide-Eyed And Mystified. The album offers a sharp, clean modern rock sound with fresh arrangements and worshipful lyrics, which has generated a Top Ten single with “Better Way” in early 2007 and their current single, “Little Is Much,” is poised to break into the Top Ten shortly. JesusFreakHideout.com exclaims, “If you pass on this one, you're making a big mistake. Not only is this the best yet from downhere, but it's also one of the best records of the year to this point!” Jason Gray released his debut project on Centricity Records, All The Lovely Losers, on March 6. Scott Dente has always had an affinity for coffee houses. As one-half of the Dove Award-winning group Out of the Grey, Scott toured the nation in the ‘90s with his wife and music partner, Christine, performing for thousands and searching for quaint coffee houses and conversation with natives. More than a decade later, Out of the Grey fans can catch Scott mixing his love for coffee, music, and conversation on the Inspirational Life Television (i-Lifetv) talk show Faith Café. Airing exclusively on i-Lifetv, Faith Café tackles thought-provoking issues ranging from social justice, to divorce, to grief with new and familiar names in Christian entertainment. Jars of Clay, Ginny Owens, Downhere, Nicole C. Mullen, and authors Chris Maxwell, Angela Thomas and Nate Larkin are just some of the guests that have graced the show’s colorful couch to talk with Scott in front of a live studio audience. Each show seeks to encourage authenticity in relationships and inspire Christian spiritual formation among viewers, who are affectionately referred to as the “Coffeehouse Nation.” Faith Café producer Charles Powell said that Scott was the perfect choice to host the show because of his realness. “This may sound cliché, but Faith Café is not like any other talk show on the market. Our goal is to produce a program that takes an honest look at the spiritual human condition of imperfect people in an imperfect world. Scott gets this. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and he has a heart to explore every topic. Our guests and viewers identify with him because he’s just a regular guy.” As for Scott, he credits his success on Faith Café to his career in music. “There’s a perception that Christian artists and other leaders in the faith don’t face the same challenges as everyone else,” said Scott. “We want Faith Café to be a vehicle for our guests to talk about real life – whether it’s an issue they are currently dealing with or how they’re reaching out to help others in need. We discuss life’s challenges, but the twist is to show how we can use our faith to wrestle with them.” Jars of Clay is one guest that met the mandate for the show. The group used their appearance to spotlight their involvement with Blood:Water Mission, a cause that helps Africans drill wells for clean drinking water and find solutions for AIDS-related issues. Author Nate Larkin also appeared on Faith Café to discuss his book Samson and the Pirate Monks during a show about men in isolation. According to Charles, all of the show’s guests are encouraged to follow this formula. “Our guests, famous or not, must speak life and hope to our community of viewers. We’re all about faith in action.” While Faith Café does tackle heavy topics, music is still a cornerstone of the show. “I’m probably being biased, but the performances are one of my favorite parts of the show,” said Scott. “The intimate setting for the show helps artists connect with the studio audience and viewers. It’s truly an experience to remember. That’s our goal for the show. To give our viewers something to remember and act on.” Viewers can check their local listings for i-Lifetv channel line up and air time information. i-Lifetv is one of four networks from The Inspiration Networks. Faith Café and other ministry and entertainment programs can be seen 24/7 on the organization’s broadband channel www.inspiration.net. Out of the Grey was awarded Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association for the stand-out projects God With Us, Coram Deo, and Coram Deo II. The group’s debut album, Out of the Grey, spawned the number one single "Wishes." Separately, Scott was awarded the Dove Award for Instrumental Album of the Year in 1998 for the album Invention, which he recorded with Phil Keaggy and Wes King. Scott is currently enjoying success as a producer and studio musician in Nashville. He has worked in the studio with artists such as Amy Grant, Chris Rice, Sarah Groves, and others. (from INSP)

Rush Of Fools The rapidly climbing debut single, “Undo,” from the new Midas Records band Rush Of Fools recently went “live” on iTunes, following the song’s eighth week atop Christian radio charts and a consistently increasing position on R&R’s AC Monitored Chart, this week reaching #5. In its first week on iTunes, the song ranked in the Top 10 songs on the Christian iTunes list. In addition to their success on iTunes, Rush Of Fools is also being recognized by MySpace as one of the Top 100 Christian Artists taking the #47 position on the hugely popular online networking site. “Undo,” which speaks of personal spiritual forgiveness, reconciliation and restoration, has created heartfelt listener comments from iTunes and MySpace users alike. Comments such as, “Wow is all I can say! I was driving home after a long day and heard this song as it came on the radio and it moved me in a way very few songs ever have. I went to MySpace everyday and listened to the song until it came out in iTunes” from this iTunes user re-emphasis both the song’s lyrical depth and Rush Of Fools’ momentous impact on Christian music. With over 13 million total audience impressions over the past week, “Undo” ushers in Rush Of Fools’ progressive worship sound and introduces the debut band to a very receptive nationwide listener base, receiving strong reviews and in-depth responses from around the world. “I just wanted to let you know that your music has been a miracle for me and my family. We have been going through a pretty rough time and when we heard your music we were convinced it was a God send. You spoke to us in a way that will never be forgotten and for that I will always be truly thankful. I hope that you guys get all you want out of life because you saved ours. Thank you for all you've done, you’re fighting for us too and that will be worth more than you will ever know. You allowed us a new beginning.” - one of the Rush Of Fools’ online network community of friends. “Undo is the theme song of our lives,” says Rush of Fools’ band member and co-founder, Kevin Huguley. “We are all, at times in our lives, hypocrites and prodigals. Countless times, we have spoken one way and walked another. Christ is truly the ONLY one that can turn us around, pick us up and put us back on our feet again.” In support of their self-titled May 8 Midas Records release, Rush Of Fools will join fellow CCM bands By The Tree and The Turning on the multi-city “World On Fire” tour, which officially kicked off March 3 in Tennessee. Leeland Progressive rock band Leeland’s debut album, Sound of Melodies, hit stores across Japan last week (3/21/07), and during the same week, the band’s current single on Japan Radio (International Chart), “Sound of Melodies”, jumped from No. 17 to No. 6. During its recent promotional trip to Japan, the band interviewed with MTV Japan, In Rock Magazine and played a sold-out concert at Harajuku Astro Hall in Tokyo, personally bringing the Leeland live experience to an audience that could only understand the music they heard, and the passion they saw. “We are very excited about what is happening with our music in Japan, and can’t wait to get back over there”, shares Leeland front man, Leeland Mooring. “During our live performance, we were touched by seeing the reaction of the crowd and how moved they were. People told us after the concert how they loved our ‘melodies’ and that there was a sort of ‘healing’ in the music. The experience of having to communicate with our new friends via translators was a special thing. It’s an awesome reminder of how big this world truly is; that there’s more to it than the street we live on, and the circle of people that we interact with everyday. After our experience in Japan, the heart we as a band have for our generation is only bigger. We are truly thankful for our time there, and can’t wait to return someday, hopefully soon.” Sound of Melodies, the Dove and GRAMMY-nominated, 11-track debut from Leeland was produced by Matt Bronleewe, Marc Byrd and Steve Hindalong. According to Leeland Mooring, “Whenever we play, our main goal is to be able to minister to our generation.” (from Provident Label Group; Jesusfreakhideout.com)

Wavorly Flicker Records is thrilled to announce the new addition to the already powerful label family with the signing of Wavorly. This modern rock/alternative/indie band is set to release their label debut, Conquering the Fear of Flight, on June 12. The Mississippi-native band also recently signed with GOA (Greg Oliver Agency) for booking. Wavorly joins other GOA acts such as Barlowgirl, Ayiesha Woods and By the Tree. “Working with Wavorly and their producer Rob Graves on this release has been pure joy,” shares Troy Vest, Flicker Records’ VP Marketing and Artist Development. “It’s been a while since I’ve been so impressed by a CD from the beginning to the very last note. I’m in this business because I love to tell people about new music that I’ve heard, and I can’t wait to get the word out about Wavorly.” Wavorly’s uniqueness settles across the listener with the first strains of their Rob Graves (Grammy-nominated RED) produced debut. Intricately arranged and immediately accessible strings and classical piano establish a darkly elegant waltz as the introduction to the album, before devolving into a pounding wall of guitars and drums. Dave Stovall’s powerful vocals ride across the top of the churning, but consistently tuneful brew as he delivers lyrical images heavily colored by author and teacher C.S. Lewis. In fact, Lewis’ classic novel The Great Divorce, served as an influence on several of the disc’s songs, while his sense of imagination and heart deeply shaped the melodic and stylistic inspiration behind the band in general. Lewis’ words were also specifically influential on the disc’s opening cut and debut Rock single “Madmen,” but his sense of imagination and scope even influenced the arrangements, melodies and overall style of the disc. Stovall is also their resident Lewis aficionado. “I drew a lot of inspiration from how I feel when I read his books,” he explains. “So we found this rock / alternative sound with a sense of mystery and deep meaning.” “Madmen” has already resonated with rock listeners as it recently was voted No. 1 on Radio U. “Praise and Adore,” the soaring and instantly memorable lead single is not a worship song in the classic understanding of the term. The debut Christian CHR single is already receiving a large buzz around the country from radio stations, including being added to the Air 1 Radio network, as the band also recently returned from a radio promotional tour to AC, CHR, and Rock stations in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. “A tasty blend of rock styles, Wavorly serves up an incredibly unique sound that you'll keep going back for more on the buffet of music!” exclaims YES-FM/Toledo Program Director Jeff Howe. “When I sat down to write ‘Praise and Adore,’” Stovall recalls, “I had no agenda. I wasn’t trying to write a song with the meaning it has. I was really just trying to write a song from my heart to God. From the title ‘Praise and Adore’ and the way it’s structured, it sounds like a praise song; however, the main point is not about praising God. It’s about how people can go their whole lives without ever knowing true life and having an abundance of it.” Bassist Matt Lott continues, "It was originally titled 'Some Live Without It,’ sometimes we don't realize that a lot of people exist outside of that bubble in a real world of hurt and despair. We should be thankful and praise God that we have the opportunity to live our lives with the hope that He has given us and strive to help others see that hope." Wavorly, assembled in college in Tupelo, Mississippi, includes vocalist Dave Stovall, bassist Matt Lott, guitarist Seth Farmer, drummer Jaime Hayes, and Ryan Coon on keys. RSJ Call it ‘theology rich music that rocks!’ Christian Grammy Award winning artist Rebecca St. James thinks that’s the best definition for what’s arising as "the new face of worship" that she sees sweeping the world. Currently on the U.S. “Worship Revolution Tour” with the UK’s top Christian worship band, Delirious? and fresh new young worship voice, Vicky Beeching, St. James is seeing a real passion for reaching God with this generation’s music. It’s a fresh wind of change the Australian born artist says she's seeing all over the world. As recently noted in full one hour specials on both the Fox News Channel and CNBC, Christianity and Christian music has an ever changing face of relevance in the 21st century. Notes St. James: “Last year we were in more than a dozen European countries on a three week tour and I was constantly amazed at how worship today knows no real boundaries. I saw a passion for worship in Bulgaria and a day or two later were we signing Here I Am To Worship in Moscow in the very shadow of the Kremlin—and there was such a sweet spirit of unity. We were at the Parachute Festival in New Zealand in January—and here more than 30,000 young people were rocking out with hands raised—praising God. It's an effect in today's Christianity I am seeing worldwide.” It’s also a scene St. James and her tour mates are currently seeing repeated nightly on tour. Says St. James: "Our mission statement for the tour was to reach 'the heart of the church' with an event that would really engage not only concert goers but the the local Christian leadership. It's our goal to make a definite difference and a lasting impact for God on these concerts." A unique facet of the “Worship Revolution” is the invitation extended by St. James and the other artists for local worship leaders to join them pre-concert for a time of prayer and reflection on the subject of reaching outside the walls of the church with the music and message. The time of questions and answers with the artists has produced full sessions at each night’s event. “We need a ‘worship revolution’ every day,” notes Martin Smith of Delirious?, a band that has for more than a decade been a galvanizing force in changing the face of Christian music internationally.Songs such as ‘I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever,’ Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble,’ ‘Shout To the North,’ and a litany of modern anthems from the British group are regularly sung in worship services around the world. The band reached 25 countries last year—sweeping the gospel through their music. “Our job as musicians, worship leaders, and artists,” notes Smith, “is purely to lift up the name of Jesus. We want to create an atmosphere in which people can come with their hearts and tell Him that He’s amazing.” The Worship Revolution has generated passionate crowds since taking to the road in mid-March in the northeastern US. The tour will continue on a full course schedule throughout mid-April. For a concert review of a recent date of the tour, click here! (from Morning Star PR)

Soul P. Soul P.’s standout debut video, “Whoa Whoa!,” also the first music video for premier hip-hop label Beatmart Recordings, is #1 on Gospel Music Channel (GMC), the number one emerging or mid-size network among cable providers. The video’s international broadcast premiere on Gospel Music Channel on March 10 was followed by 18 spins in the first week and 22 spins last week putting it ahead of Stellar Kart, Manafest, and Jeremy Camp, to name a few of the other Top 30 artists. “Whoa Whoa!” is off newcomer Soul P.’s successful December 2006 release, The Premiere, which has ranked in the Top 10 on the CMTA Nielsen SoundScan R&B/Hip Hop chart for 10 weeks since December 31. The album's celebratory, danceable, catchy, and life-affirming songs deal with the social ills of inner-city life and offer hope of redemption and happiness through Christ. The video of the retro 80s sounding single was shot at the beginning of December in downtown Los Angeles by director Justin Purser of Anonymous Content, a production company with a filmography that includes Babel, 50 First Dates, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay), and Being John Malkovich (three Oscar nominations including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay). Beatmart Recordings A&R and producer Todd Collins says the success of the “Whoa Whoa!” video, which showcases Soul P.’s charismatic personality, is an exciting indicator of the growth of the popularity of hip-hop in Christian music. “It’s a wholesome party song with simple lyrics that everybody can have a good time to and feel good about,” he explains. Jerry Williams, the program director of Gospel Music Channel (GMC), the nation’s first 24-hour music television channel dedicated to all styles of Christian and Gospel music, says: “We were thrilled to be able to world premiere ‘Whoa Whoa!’. The song itself is a hit, and the video looks great. We’re excited to be working with Soul P. and Beatmart in this way and look forward to more great video product from the artist and label.” Results of the annual Beta Research Cable Operator Study found that GMC ranks ahead of two dozen other cable networks, including The NFL Network, WE: Women’s Entertainment, Soapnet, Hallmark Movie Channel, The Tennis Channel and Lifetime Real Women and is seen in more than 100 markets around the country representing more than 3,000 cities and towns. Two Empty Chairs Tonecrash Records is pleased to announce the signing of its flagship artist Two Empty Chairs and the release of the band’s national debut, Brighter Day, available April 3rd. Hailing from Smackover, Arkansas, Cliff Preston (vocals/guitar), Wes Hymer (bass/bgv), Seth Bradham (drums/bgv) and Josh Bryant (guitar/bgv) grew up in musical families and have each been playing and performing since they were small. Preston and Bradham joined forces just after Preston finished high school and Bradham was only 14. Hymer and Bryant later joined the group. The band toured for three years under a different name, but when a good friend (who was touring as keyboard player for mainstream band All American Rejects) committed suicide, the foursome decided they needed a name with more meaning and impact, one that would better reflect their hearts. "It floored us when we heard that our friend had committed suicide,” Preston explains. “In our eyes he was living a dream. We looked up to him and had no idea he was going through such a tough time that he felt his only option was to end his life. This tragedy has shown us how much we need to bring awareness to the epidemic of suicide. Our band is very committed to being real and being available. The two empty chairs symbolize us being there for anyone who needs to sit down and talk things out….you take a seat, I take a seat and together we find that our Hope can only be found in God.” Two Empty Chairs connected with industry veteran Barry Blair (founding member of Audio Adrenaline and award-winning producer) and signed to Blair’s label, Tonecrash Records. Also at the production helm, Blair was joined by mixing-guru Skidd Mills (Third Day, Jennifer Knapp, Sister Hazel). The result is a very memorable rock album with hook-driven pop sensibilities and intelligent lyrics. Drawing from influences like David Crowder, U2, Third Eye Blind, Matchbox 20, and Sister Hazel, Two Empty Chairs crafts a dynamic musicality that is uniquely their own. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with quite a few great bands over the years, and the thing that really appealed to me about Two Empty Chairs….besides their music……is their desire to be a ministry-based band,” says Blair. “They are completely on fire, sold-out for God and want to tell as many people as possible. They are proud to be called a ‘Christian band’ and they don’t view that title as an insult to their artistic value, but simply as a clarification of WHY they do what they do.” This road-tested band with a hard-work ethic has been given some incredible opportunities along the way. They were approached by a Los Angeles-based production company who wanted to feature a Two Empty Chairs song in its film. “Lifelight” plays under the closing credits of The Moment After 2: The Awakening a feature film from Wes Llewellyn, available now on DVD. Preston comments on the band’s involvement in the movie: "It was amazing being asked to do something like this. I got the first email from the screenwriter and just passed right over it because I didn’t think it was real! Then when the producer contacted us, I though we might need to check into it. The great thing about this is that there is no way we ever could have worked this out by ourselves… We are just a little band from a tiny town in Arkansas, and the internet (where the movie folks found us) is very huge. God has blessed our ministry every step of the way...from meeting Barry to the opportunity to be a part of this movie. He has chosen to bless us at this time. We are happy, but at the same time taking this blessing and calling very seriously.” Two Empty Chairs will be touring this Spring in support of Brighter Day, with dates being booked by the Covenant Artist Agency. “There You Go,” the first single from the album is going for adds now at CHR and AC radio. Brighter Day will be distributed nationally through Infinity Distribution. The band will also host a hometown CD Release show on April 6th at the El Dorado Municipal Auditorium in El Dorado, Arkansas. Free to the public, the event will start at 7:00pm. Hello Kelly 7 Spin Music recently announced the signing of Hello Kelly, a Canadian-based pop/rock band, who just wrapped up a 12 date Canadian tour supporting their new EP Green Things Grow, which was released in January of 2007. The EP will help set up the band for their first full-length album, which will be released in the fall of 2007. "Hello Kelly is the quintessential rock band," states Peter Khosla, president of 7 Spin Music. "From their stellar songwriting to their amazing live show, Hello Kelly is the complete package. We are thrilled that they are a part of the 7 Spin family." No strangers to the road, Hello Kelly has been touring throughout Canada and the US for the past two and a half years, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in Christian music – Superchick, Rebecca St. James, John Reuben, Kids In The Way, and Starfield, just to name a few. Over that time the band has played shows from Alberta to Nova Scotia as well as well as in the US as part of the "Rock Hop & Roll Tour" which took place in the Fall of 2006. In addition, the band has also seen great radio support with three songs from their previous EP The Modern Day Fades Away reaching #1 at Christian radio in Canada. Hello Kelly has sold over 12,000 copies of their EP independently as well as through Canadian Christian retail. All songs from Green Things Grow and Modern Day Fades Away are available on iTunes and all other digital music services globally. Francois Goudreault Jr., Hello Kelly's lead singer/guitarist and songwriter, says this about Hello Kelly's goal: "I remember when rock and roll was something that people talked about. I remember my parents filling my ears with Van Halen, The Scorpions, and Triumph - when conversations around the barbeque were about an artist's latest guitar effect, not an artist's latest clothing line. I want people to remember Hello Kelly like that." For more information on Hello Kelly, please visit www.hellokellyonline.com or www.myspace.com/hellokelly. I think we all know why - it truly contains great songs, and ‘Tunnel’ is one of them. ‘There’s a light at the end of this tunnel’, is a phrase that everyone connects to. At some time or another, we all feel weighed down or burdened by something, but what an encouragement to know that tomorrow brings hope!” “We’re so encouraged by the energy behind ‘Tunnel’ at radio right now, and we’re very excited about all the positive feedback we’re getting from our fans on Chronology,” comments Tai Anderson. Also gaining momentum this week are “Third Day’s Biggest Fan” (www.thirddaysbiggestfan.com) and “Third Day in the UK” consumer promotions. “Third Day’s Biggest Fan” launched by www.thirdday.com on March 12 with several radio stations accepting video submissions from fans stating why they should win the title of “Third Day’s Biggest Fan.” One winner per participating radio station, and one winner from www.thirdday.com, will have their one-minute video featured on the Chronology, Volume Two (2000-2006) DVD, which hits streets August 7. The www.thirdday.com sponsored promotion, which provides tickets to the band’s May 7 show at Royal Albert Hall in London, along with a four-day stay in the city, starts on March 19, with a winner announced by www.thirdday.com on March 27. Bride Legendary Christian metal act Bride is planning on recording one final album this year. Frontman Dale Thompson wrote earlier this week, "Bride has plans to begin writing on one LAST piece of work very soon.Without record companies, distribution, a marketing team, no A&R and no interest from the industry or support from the churches most would say "why not just go away?" We must retire on the terms that God has outlined. Too many hate mongers have tried to retire Bride through the years and they all have had dismal failures in their attempts. For they are those whom Jesus called white sculptures full of dead men's bones. You see they do not possess the truth, or produce life and thus they are in a lower realm and cannot touch those that have been high and lifted up to sit in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. We want to produce one last piece of work from our heart as a final farewell to our friends who have supported us and prayed earnestly for us. Bride is just a name. And it will fade into oblivion but we know the work that we have done has produced eternal rewards for all of those involved. Bride will continue playing shows up to a point. We would love to return to Brazil one more time, possibly Europe and play a few shows in the States as our way of closing the door slowly if possible. Now this transformation from Bride to whatever else God has in store for Troy and I may be quick and it may be prolonged but we will produce one more CD for you." Gospel Music Channel (GMC), the nation’s first 24-hour music television channel dedicated to all styles of Christian and Gospel music, has ranked as the #1 emerging or mid-size network in the new annual survey of cable operators, it was announced today. GMC also ranked #1 in “audience attentiveness to advertising” and #1 in “feeling comfortable viewing with family” in a recent major advertising industry research report. These results come at a time when the network is enjoying the strongest period of growth across all facets of business since its launch just 28 months ago. Results of the annual Beta Research Cable Operator Study found that Gospel Music Channel ranks as the #1 emerging or mid-size network among cable providers with large systems in large markets (200K+ and 100K+ subscribers.) Gospel Music Channel rated ahead of two dozen other cable networks, including The NFL Network, WE: Women’s Entertainment, Soapnet, Hallmark Movie Channel, The Tennis Channel and Lifetime Real Women. These results portend additional growth in the months ahead while coinciding with Gospel Music Channel’s already strong recent increases in distribution. GMC is now seen in more than 100 markets (DMAs) around the country representing more than 3,000 cities and towns coast-to-coast. The channel projects an additional 50% increase on top of that, expecting to finish the year in more than 150 of the top 210 DMAs. Gospel Music Channel added one million subscribers in the fourth quarter of 2006 alone. Comcast Cable, the nation’s largest cable programming provider, has added GMC in such major cities as Chicago, Washington DC, Memphis, Salt Lake City, Baltimore, Richmond and Portland OR, in addition to already carrying Gospel Music Channel in Atlanta, Nashville and Detroit. Two other of the country’s largest cable providers, Cox Communications and Charter Communications, also are continuing to add Gospel Music Channel, as is Verizon FiOS in all its rapidly expanding video markets. The channel is also now carried by nearly 50 independent cable operators and telephone companies offering video. The immediate acceptance and response to Gospel Music Channel in new markets has been overwhelming. Gospel Music Channel’s growth extends to its expansion of world premiere original programming production. Gospel Music Channel has become the largest producer of original Gospel/Christian music television in the world, producing more than 200 hours of concerts, series, specials and video with a commitment to producing the majority of new content in High Definition. Gospel Music Channel also just launched a seven-channel video on demand (VOD) service offering all genres on Gospel/Christian music. Gospel Music Channel On Demand is already available in more than 10 million homes and ranks among the top third in popularity and usage. Charles Humbard, president and chief executive officer, Gospel Music Channel, said, “It is very gratifying and humbling that our vision to provide family-friendly entertainment programming with strong Christian values is being embraced on so many levels. We look forward to continued growth and success in the months ahead and pledge to our loyal viewers that we will continue to deliver the very best that Christian and gospel music have to offer.” (from Spinhouse PR)

Tim Hughes Sparrow/Survivor Records lead worshipper and two-time Dove Award winning artist for Song of the Year, Tim Hughes, announces the release of his first album in three years, Holding Nothing Back, April 3. Following the success of his sophomore album, When Silence Falls, the new album from Hughes encourages listeners to take worship further than Sunday morning by freely worshipping Christ in every thought, action and aspect of daily life. Teaming US-based producer, Nathan Nockels (Watermark, Passion) and Matt Bronleewe (Jars of Clay, Plumb, Michael W Smith) the album features the current single, “Happy Day,” as well as “Everything,” a song that reminds us to put God at the center of life, and celebrate His amazing love for us every moment. “The album captures a sense of passion; a whole-hearted response of worship to an amazing God,” explains Hughes. “Worship is about surrender, holding nothing back and giving all of ourselves to the One who gave His everything for us. These are days to be daring, exuberant and adventurous.” Joining Hughes in the recording studio for several songs on the new album is Delirious? lead guitarist and background vocalist, Stu G on electric guitar. Tim also co-wrote two songs with Delirious? frontman and acclaimed songwriter, Martin Smith, including the title track, “Holding Nothing Back,” as well as “Clinging to the Cross,” which features the vocal talents of multi-platinum New Zealand recording artist, Brook Fraser. In addition, Tim also co-wrote two songs with his wife, Rachel, “Living For Your Glory” and “Out of the Darkness.” “Tim has a knack of making records that are easy to listen to but also pack a lyrical punch that is not often seen in today’s modern worship songs,” says Martin Smith. “It was an honor to co-write with him on this project and a pleasure to spend time with someone who obviously carries a leadership role in the church in Britain.” Tim Hughes has led worship for tens of thousands of youth across the globe and has currently has three top songs on the CCLI charts, “Here I Am To Worship,” “Beautiful One,” and “Consuming Fire.” He landed the No. 1 spot on CCLI charts and received two GMA Dove Awards for Song of The Year for “Here I Am To Worship,” which has also been recorded by artists such as Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, Rebecca St. James, Jeremy Camp, Passion and more. Currently the Director of Worship at Holy Trinity Brompton, London, Tim also heads up Worship Central, a new school of worship to train and equip worship leaders, musicians and worshippers. Hughes will be playing new music from Holding Nothing Back this summer at music festivals across the U.S. including Alive Festival, Creation East and Soulfest, as well as the Saddleback Worship Conference. This summer Tim will also be releasing a new book, Holding Nothing Back, with Regal Books. (from Hoganson Media)

High Flight Society RKT Music recently announced the signing of Georgia-based, four-piece rock band High Flight Society, which will release its self-titled debut album June 5, 2007. Growing up together in Cedartown, Ga., High Flight Society formed while its members were still in high school. Guitarist Michael Packer, his brother, bass player John Packer, drummer Scotty Lockridge and frontman Jason Wilkes joined with producer Tony Palacios (Toby Mac, Audio Adrenaline) to create the stunning, anthemic modern rock sound found on the group’s national debut. Though the 22-year-old Wilkes surprisingly admits a love for all things Southern Gospel, High Flight’s musical influences come from more likely rock sources, bands like Kutless, Anberlin and Foo Fighters. “We feel that God has called us to ‘be a light in the darkness,’” Wilkes noted. “We want to use our music to tell people about Jesus, people who might not hear the conventional way. We want to make music that could, because of its sound, easily make its way outside the walls of the church. There are so many songs out there portraying so many negative things. We want our music to be played alongside those songs, but we hope to send a positive message of hope and forgiveness to people who are hearing that message less and less.” RKT Music President Don Donahue said, “High Flight Society is one of those ‘must see’ bands. They are exceptional live, and they write the kind of hooky songs that can work on multiple formats if treated right. We look forward to introducing HFS and their ministry to the masses in June.” This Spring finds the band headed out on tour with Gotee artists Storyside: B and Our Heart’s Hero in addition to their own solo dates, which are being booked via a recent signing with GOA, Inc. At Christian radio last fall, High Flight Society scored a Top 20 Rock single with “Up Above” and will follow that success with “Time is Running Out,” which went for adds at Rock last week. The band will also release “Declaration,” an anthem for evangelism and salvation, to CHR stations April 13 For more information and updated tour dates, visit www.hfsrock.com, www.myspace.com/highflightsociety and www.rktmusic.com. BarlowGirl Fervent Records' sister rock trio and 2007 GMA "Group of the Year" nominee, BarlowGirl, recently completed recording their highly anticipated studio album in Nashville. Producing the group's third album, currently untitled, is Dove-nominated producer Otto Price, who has overseen BarlowGirl's previous albums. "This project is very exciting because we're using different approaches and different sounds," says Otto Price, Word Label Group Vice President of A&R. "Lyrically, it contains much more maturity, intensity and depth, and musically, it's very progressive." Recorded at the prestigious Paragon Studios in Franklin, TN, the album is due out in stores July 24. In addition to preparing for this summer's album launch, BarlowGirl was selected as the National Day of Prayer - 2007 Youth Ambassador. The girls further joined other renown artists Lisa Kimmey (Out of Eden), Leigh Cappillino (Point of Grace) and David Leonard (Jackson Waters), for the recording of the new song, "We Pray," specifically written and recorded for National Day of Prayer, which is set to take place May 3. "We Pray" will further impact radio March 30. (from Greg Oliver Agency)

delirious British band Delirious?, now headlining the Worship Revolution Tour of the United States with Rebecca St. James, will release a book of personal music-based stories, reflections, and devotions this April entitled I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever. A post at the group’s site says, “I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever explores the history, the passion, and the motivation of one of the most innovative and challenging worship bands around today. Read it and see for yourself that behind the albums and the international concert tours are five sold-out hearts desperate to make a difference in our generation.” Guitarist Stu G explains, “We wanted to write something that was honest but that was also interesting and helpful. We’re all aware that the world doesn’t need another rock band telling everyone how great they are, so we only wanted to get involved with a book project if we could keep the focus on Jesus rather than ourselves. So what we end up with – we hope – is something that charts the journey, showing how things have really been for us: with God as the captain and us as the confused by grateful little ones trying to follow His lead.” The Delirious? book tells the band’s inspiring story and offers spiritual reflections based on these songs: “Stronger,” “Now Is The Time,” “Here I Am, Send Me,” “Love Is A Miracle,” “Paint The Town Red,” “Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble,” “Our God Reigns,” and “I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever.” To read the first chapter (in PDF format), click here. Relient K Five Score And Seven Years Ago, the fifth album in seven years from Relient K, has debuted at #6 on The Billboard 200, and was #3 on iTunes' Top Albums chart for the week ending March 12. This is Relient K's highest debut in both chart number and sales to date. "Five Score features irresistible pop-punk hooks and glorious Beach Boys-style harmonies, all building to an 11-minute mini-rock opera that recalls - and equals - The Who's "A Quick One While He's Away," said USA Today while Alternative Press praised the album's "radio-ready power pop goodness." "Few bands play punk-influenced modern rock as proficiently," noted Spin. "These are peppy sing-alongs for puppy lovers and true believers." Relient K will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on April 12th. The band launched a 39-date North American tour with a sold-out show in New York City last Friday and performed on Late Night with Conan O'Brien earlier this month. The Marc Webb-lensed video for lead single "Must Have Done Something Right" is in rotation on mtvU, MTV Hits, FUSE's "Steven's Untitled Rock Show," Nickelodeon's The N, IMF and Music Choice. Falling Up Coming off of the fan-loved remix album, Exit Lights, Falling Up’s Christian Rock radio single “Searchlights” recently hit No. 1 on both CRW and R&R charts for two weeks. “Searchlights” marks the sixth career No. 1 rock single. After two highly successful studio projects (Crashings, Dawn Escapes), Falling Up is currently in the studio this month recording their third studio album currently set to release in August (BEC Recordings/Tooth and Nail Records). Taking time from the studio to share about their new project lead vocalist Jesse Ribordy shares, “We are currently in the studio recording our third full length album with brilliant producer Aaron Sprinkle. The level of energy for ideas and new sounds are blooming and lush like we have never experienced before. Stylistically we are experimenting with ideas ranging everywhere from the space electronic sci-fi influence of Spielberg movies in the 80's, to dark and dreamy piano based rock and pop that has prevailed throughout our musical spectrum. We are hoping to achieve a musical experience that will revive high energy rock and roll back into the system and at the same time drift listeners off into a deep and dreamy sleep. Lyrically we are are weaving through landscapes of imagination and peace to present clarity in love and hope instead of disconnection and recklessness. Overall, this record is something that we have been waiting to put out since this bands conception.” From the beginning Falling Up has been a strong touring band with hundred of dates throughout the year. True to this reputation, the band heads out starting April 19th headlining the Oregon Trail tour. The west coast tour will feature bands RunKidRun and The Send as well as special guests A Dream Too Late and Ever Stays Red. (from The M Collective)

The long-awaited sophomore effort from Curb recording artist Nate Sallie, Ruined For Ordinary, is slated to bow Tuesday. Produced by Bernie Herms for SoulFuel Productions, the project is a reflection of the dramatic spiritual transformation Sallie has undergone during the past two years. Ruined For Ordinary features 11 tracks, all written or co-written by Sallie, including three selections co-penned with his pastor, Dale Evrist. The project also contains an unplugged bonus cut, “Sing Through Me,” which was written and produced by Sallie. Highlights of Ruined For Ordinary include “Breakthrough,” “Holy Spirit,” “Look At Me Now,” “Undercover Belief,” and the emphatic title-cut, Sallie’s declaration to reject anything less than the abundant life found in a personal relationship with Christ. “As Ruined For Ordinary began to take shape, I came to the realization that it was not me who was doing the molding,” says Sallie. “The Creator had a different blueprint for His musical offerings. Total surrender, combined with unbroken communion with Christ, allowed me access to the deepest well of words and worship available to the starving artist—and I was a starving artist!” “Ruined For Ordinary captures the crystal stream that the Lord wants to pour out, in, and through all of us,” he continues. “The voices, lyrics, instruments, and melodies on this recording are the result of a life that was once lost, but is now found; a life that was rearranged and prioritized; and most of all, a life that was and is, ruined for ordinary.” A 24-minute bonus EP, written and produced entirely by Sallie, will be available exclusively at Family Christian Stores nationwide for a limited time. The Ruined For Ordinary – Inspired Heart Edition contains the special five-song worship EP in addition to the new recording. In support of Ruined For Ordinary, Sallie is slated to headline a series of Brown Bag Concerts around the country in April. Sponsored by local Christian radio stations, the Brown Bag stops include Dallas; Atlanta; Nashville; Austin, Texas; and Louisville, Kentucky. He has also been a part of the Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, which concludes this month. The tour has played to approximately 250,000 people since beginning in January. In addition, Sallie’s first book, “Sing Through Me: Songs and Stories Inspired By A Life Ruined For Ordinary!” was recently published and is available for purchase at www.natesallie.com, as well as at his concerts. The book documents Sallie’s life and career path, his recent spiritual awakening, and the stories behind the songs of Ruined For Ordinary. The album’s first single, “Breakthrough,” was a Top 5 CHR hit, while the current single, “Holy Spirit,” has been serviced to Christian AC and CHR formats. (from Turning Point PR)

"Well we are writing a new record at home in Stockholm. As this newsletter is being written this band is working really hard on these songs. Casting Crowns Multi-Platinum, GRAMMY and multiple Dove Award-winning band Casting Crowns announces plans for headlining yet another major-market tour in Fall 2007 and Spring 2008. Joining Casting Crowns on the fall leg will be one of the most critically-acclaimed new acts to emerge on the scene in years, GRAMMY-nominated, Leeland, and one of Billboard magazine’s “Faces To Watch” for 2007, new artist John Waller. The tour will hit 36 cities between Sept. 27 and Dec. 2. Jeff Roberts, President of Jeff Roberts & Associates, and booking agent for the tour, stated, “After polling the major promoters, we’ve been told that the package of Casting Crowns, Leeland and John Waller will be the biggest tour this fall. This lineup is already generating tremendous excitement for them. My staff has never been more excited!” The fall dates kick off in San Antonio, Texas and will travel through most of the U.S., hitting markets such as Atlanta, Birmingham, Houston, Portland, Seattle, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Sacramento. Casting Crowns previously headlined the tremendously successful “Lifesong Tour,” which hit 84 markets and connected with more than 357,000 fans, placing the show near the top of Pollstar’s Top 100 tours of the 2005/2006 season. As Casting Crowns leads at Christian radio and retail, its sixth radio smash, “Does Anybody Hear Her,” remains at No. 1 for a seventh week. The band recently achieved RIAA history with the Platinum certification of its sophomore album Lifesong, making Casting Crowns the fastest contemporary Christian music artist in its career to have its first two albums certified Platinum, and only the second in RIAA history ever to achieve it. In addition, the band is again up for several Dove Awards, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year for “Praise You In This Storm,” written by lead singer Mark Hall, and one of the biggest songs at Christian radio this past year, having spent an incredible 43 weeks on the AC Monitored chart. Over its three-year career, Casting Crowns has been honored with a GRAMMY Award, two American Music Awards nods and 10 Gospel Music Awards. To date, the band has sold more than 2.5 million albums. Frontman Leeland Mooring, shares, “It is an honor to be a part of the upcoming Casting Crowns tour. We love what this band is about and admire their vision for ministry. It is such a blessing to have the opportunity to work with such an incredible group of people. All of us in Leeland are grateful and can't wait to see what God is going to do.” Since the August 2006 release of the band’s debut album Sound of Melodies, Leeland has garnered a GRAMMY nod, four Dove nods, and has opened multiple dates for Third Day. John Waller, who attended the Denver show of Casting Crowns’ “Lifesong Tour” last spring, said, “I am blown away by this amazing opportunity. To think that just a year ago I was in the audience watching Casting Crowns, and now having the chance to travel with the band is simply amazing and quite humbling. This is more than I could have ever dreamed. God is so good.” Singer/songwriter and worship pastor, John Waller is the former frontman for Christian indie band According To John. His debut album, The Blessing, released this week, and the title track and first radio single is No. 23 at Christian AC. Waller is one of only ten artists chosen across all genres of music this year by Billboard magazine cited as “hot talent awaiting discovery as 2007 begins.” (from Provident Label Group)

Chris Tomlin Sparrow Records’ Music Inspired By The Motion Picture Amazing Grace soundtrack, which released in January, not only features some of today’s top recording artists, but is also a vehicle through which the artists raise their voice in a social justice campaign to abolish modern day slavery. Partnering with The Amazing Change (www.theamazingchange.com) and the Geneva Global Fund to help abolish modern day slavery, the recording features, “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone),” as the theme song to raise funds for this cause. The song includes a new bridge to the classic hymn written by 2006 two-GRAMMY nominee and the Gospel Music Association’s Artist of the Year, Chris Tomlin. Tomlin also performs the song live in concert, sharing with his audiences the hope provided by The Amazing Change and exhorting them to “be the amazing change.” “What this movie shows is the truth that every life matters and that you can make a difference right where you are,” says Tomlin. “That’s the amazing thing about God. He takes ordinary people and does extraordinary things with them.” Although slavery today is illegal around the world, National Geographic estimates there are still 27 million slaves in the world working in rice mills, brick kilns, on plantations, in brothels and in other places where human dignity is stripped in the name of greed and oppression. Remarkably, some estimate that more people are enslaved today than existed in the entire Trans-Atlantic slave trade. For more information and how to get involved, see The Amazing Change ecard. After hearing about the plight of people in modern day slavery, GRAMMY, Dove and Stellar Award winning Gospel artist Smokie Norful, who sings “Were You There?” on the Inspired By soundtrack, responds, “That is alarming to me, it appalls me, it upsets me to no end, but ultimately where it moves me to is a place where I have to ask both myself and God, ‘What can I do.’ I think that people first of all must be educated and informed on the issue because there is a lot more work to be done. We have to figure out, where is our place in that work.” “Hearing a number like that, 27 million people in modern day slavery, my first impression was shock, followed quickly by embarrassment that I was so unaware,” adds two-time GMA Award-winning Female Vocalist of the Year, Nichole Nordeman, who sings “Just As I Am” on the Inspired By CD. “We are so tempted to just get apathetic and comfortable and carve these little niches and spaces in our lives. I hope that this film and this soundtrack promote awareness first and then activism.” “I’m inspired by these and other artists that join the work of William Wilberforce, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass and the other great abolitionists who worked to free our ‘neighbors’ from slavery,” says 14-year-old Zach Hunter, The Amazing Change youth spokesperson and founder of Loose Change to Loosen Chains. “In the spirit of William Wilberforce, let’s dedicate ourselves to ending the trade in humans, people who may live far from us, but are still our ‘neighbors.’” The Amazing Change was formed by Bristol Bay Productions and inspired by the feature film Amazing Grace, which is the story of William Wilberforce. The campaign uses the story of Wilberforce and his friends, who worked together 200 years ago to abolish the slave trade in the British Empire, to raise up a new generation of modern day activists. Beatmart Recordings never slows down its quest to scout and develop new talent, and in turn continually provide hip-hop music lovers with a fresh sound and story. Label A&R and producer Todd Collins and his newest talent, award-winning northwest rapper Willie Will, have put their creativity and experience together and are excited to present Reflection, which will be in stores June 5, 2007. Seattle, Washington local Willie Will has developed a following in the northwest with three solo releases, demonstrated by the five awards he took home from the 2006 Northwest Music Awards for Best Single, Best Album, Best Collaboration, Best Video, and 2006 Northwest Pioneer. Todd Collins, the founder of Gotee Records with Toby Mac and Joey Elwood, says Willie Will brings a unique blend of hood life reality mixed with the heart of a soldier to the diverse Beatmart Recordings roster, and believes Reflection is set to gain the same widespread appeal and reception of Soul P. and Pettidee’s latest creations, The Premiere and Thug Love. Music came naturally to Willie Will. His mother was a choir director and his father was a quartet singer. Will began rapping when he was seven years old, and he and his brothers performed with their father in a Gospel group called Pop Heavenly and The Heavenly Boyz. Will grew up in the church, but spent the impressionable years of his life moving back and forth between Seattle and New Jersey. His dad seldom had a job and often hustled to get money while his mother many times worked two jobs. From the throes of a confusing and unbalanced home, Will turned to a life of hustle for his own, but when he was twenty, he says God took hold of him “in a very real way.” "With Reflection, I hope to bring to the forefront a new vein of holy hip-hop—one that brings the lost to the light and edifies the believer at the same time," says Willie Will. "Christian rap is often extreme: either it's too much God that the unbeliever can't feel it, or God can't be found anywhere in it. There needs to be a middle ground that everyone can feel and in turn be blessed." For more on Willie Will, visit Myspace.com/WillieWill (from Recah PR)

Fervent Records is proud to announce the latest addition to its artist roster, pureNRG. The talented, high-energy group’s self-titled debut album releases May 1, 2007. “We are so excited about the signing of pureNRG,” says Susan Riley, Word Label Group’s Senior Vice-President of A&R and Publishing. “The group members are actually living the ‘tween’ years, and their positive message and influence will have a lasting effect on their fans and peers that are facing critical life choices during this time.” pureNRG is comprised of Jordan Yates, 14, Caroline Williams, 12, and Carolyne Myers, 11, who live up to the ‘pureNRG’ moniker with their vibrant stage performance and innate talent. Each member of pureNRG began competing on the national dance circuit at a young age and has now been performing as a group for three years. Renowned manager, Norman Miller (Casting Crowns, Nichole Nordeman, Jump5), developed the group and was active in the selection process of each member. In addition to their individual talents and abilities, Jordan, Caroline, and Carolyne also bring their own set of influences and musical tastes to the group. pureNRG’s debut project was produced by Rob Hawkins (Jackson Waters) with vocals produced by Mark Hammond (Everlife, Cheetah Girls, Ashley Tisdale). The album features engaging pop songs that showcase the strong vocal talents of the three group members. From the bouncy opening track “360,” to their cover of the spirited 80’s classic “Footloose,” to the hope-filled message of “When I Get To Heaven,” pureNRG delivers an infectious pop sound that is nothing but fresh and innovative. pureNRG has already been selected for Disney’s Incubator program featuring the most up and coming new tween artists. The group is also booked for several 2007 festivals. Their vivacious stage performances include choreographed dance routines, gymnastics and, of course, their dynamic vocal abilities. However, it’s not all work for Jordan, Caroline, and Carolyne, who remain very active in their churches, youth activities and mission trips. Their faith is the central focus of their lives; music and dancing is simply a way to communicate that message. “Most kids our age don’t get to do what we do,” says Jordan. “We feel really blessed and we want to become positive role models for our fans. If we can make a difference in someone’s life, then that’s what we need to be doing.” For more information on pureNRG please visit www.ferventrecords.com. (from Bozeman Media)

Inpop’s newest signing, Everyday Sunday, landed at No. 8 this week with “Find Me Tonight,” the debut single from its forthcoming May 22 release, Wake Up! Wake Up! Hailing from the jazz and blues-influenced culture of southern Louisiana, New Orleans native Jake Smith recently signed an exclusive recording contract with Rocketown Records. His debut CD, Real, is scheduled for a July 31, 2007 release. Musically, Real offers a fusion of soulful, groove-based pop that blends seamlessly together to create a sound reflective of the richness and eclecticism of New Orleans. Influenced by everything from the classic sounds of Ray Charles to current artists like John Mayer and Ray LaMontagne, Smith possesses the musical chops to perform convincingly as a solo singer-songwriter, as the leader of a funky acoustic trio or in his favorite light, the frontman to a dynamic band of energetic Louisiana allies. But the strongest stimulus for Smith’s songs comes from life itself, the adversities he’s experienced and the faith that’s brought him hope in the midst of significant turmoil. “My family is the most important thing in my life,” Smith noted, “and the last two years have been pretty crazy for us. Obviously, Hurricane Katrina really messed up our way of life. After Katrina I was driving to my apartment and I was praying, ‘God whatever you have for me, I’ll do. I’m confused about what’s happening, but I am yours.’ Before I could finish the last word, a drunk driver hit me, totaling my car. A few months after the wreck, my father was diagnosed with cancer. A week later we were all shocked to find that my mother was also diagnosed with cancer, a recurrence from a bout earlier in her life. Why? I was so shaken by all of it that I didn’t want to go to church, I didn’t want to write music. I just wanted to sit and wait for the next bad thing to happen. Since then God has slowly brought me back to Him. He truly gave me things to write about. He showed me that He is the only sure thing in this life.” Real manages to take the traumas from Smith’s past two years and infuse them with the genuine hope and optimism that surrounds the artist himself. Quick-witted and laid back, Smith seeks to entertain as his songs inspire. “I can only write about what I know or have been through, and I think people will see that. I don’t have a voice like Creed, and I can’t swing my guitar around my neck, but I hope that I can make people move.” Rocketown President Don Donahue said, “Jake Smith has authentic artistic integrity and so much soul in everything he does. We are honored to be working with him. He represents a real 'next generation' singer/songwriter/performer for Rocketown, and his infectious songs reflect a gospel worldview that we're excited for all to hear.” In addition to opening gigs this Spring for Sister Hazel and 2007 Contemporary Blues Grammy winner Irma Thomas, Smith will spend the months prior to release playing numerous concerts and festivals with his band. The album’s first single, “This Is Certain,” will go for adds at CHR and AC stations May 4. Smith is managed by Through the Looking Glass Entertainment and booked by the Bridge Street Artist Agency. In addition to decisions made for Christ, more than 3700 concert-goers have made commitments to sponsor children in Holt International (www.holtintl.org) Children’s Services “Waiting Child Program,” a monthly sponsorship program that brings sustaining hope and support to orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable children awaiting full-time adoptions. Australia’s Hillsong United is preparing to bring its explosive and passionate brand of modern worship to North America with an extensive tour of the U.S. and Canada and the May release of All of the Above, the band’s eighth CD and first-ever studio recording. Australia’s top modern worship band will take time away from their home church, Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, to play before an estimated 150,000 people between April and August. One of the first stops on the North American tour will be Nashville, where Hillsong United have been invited to lead the Sunday night worship service at GMA Music Week, gospel and Christian music’s annual industry convention. The worship night will be hosted by Hillsong United supporter and friend, Michael W. Smith, and held on Sunday, April 22 at the Ryman Theatre in Nashville. Hillsong United’s Creative Director, Joel Houston, who is also one of United’s worship leaders and songwriters, said, “We are really excited about coming back to North America and we’re looking forward to taking songs, which have been specifically written to be sung corporately, to young people across the continent.” “With the tour and new record, our hope is to stir up a generation both locally and globally to live lives that are sold out for God and His Cause – lives that are committed to being His hands and feet on the planet, and to bringing justice to the hurting and the broken,” Houston added. The message not only underpins the 12 tracks on the album, but it is also the motivator behind an exciting new movement, The I Heart Revolution (www.theiheartrevolution.com) recently launched by Hillsong United. “The I Heart Revolution is in its early stages but as we traveled all around the world in the last 12 months – to Asia, South America, Europe, Africa and at home in Australia – it became so clear that God is doing something significant among young people. Regardless of language or geography, whenever they worshipped God, something powerful happened. We captured this on tape and are pulling together a documentary that will share with the world what we had the privilege of seeing and being part of,” Houston explained. As with every Hillsong United CD, All of the Above, comes out of the very heartbeat of Hillsong Church’s youth ministry. “The response from our church to these songs tells us they are cross-generational. Our church loves them because they love worshipping Him,” said Houston. (from Spinhouse PR)

TrackStar Recordworks' latest signing, Prelude, a trio of rare musical pedigree, made their first appearance together on TBN's popular "Praise the Lord" show on Friday March 2. Following in the footsteps of their accomplished parents, Amanda Omartian (daughter of Grammy Award winning producer Michael Omartian and successful Christian author Stormie Omartian), Rachel Hockett (daughter of Dove award winning artists Billy and Sarah Gaines), and Kara Tualatai (daughter of Dove award winning musical and choral collection writer and arranger Dave Williamson) have joined forces to create their own musical legacy. Prelude performed "You Call Me Yours" off their debut release Learn to Fly on Friday March 2 on TBN's "Praise the Lord" program. The girls wrote "You Call Me Yours" and several other original songs on their debut, which also includes fresh arrangements of the Beatles’ song, “We Can Work It Out” and a choice selection of classic hymns. Progressive symphonic arrangements, reminiscent of 70s art rock, bring a refreshing approach to the vocalists' contemporary pop melodies and harmonies on the album, which was produced by Michael Omartian. Equipped with fourteen years of “best” friendship and individual victories over personal life challenges, the Prelude trio not only bring expected talent to their music, but also a mature message of struggle and transformation. The girls struggled with typical issues during their teenage years, and saw each other through more difficult times as they each dealt with their own challenges such as eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. All three have overcome their respective struggles, and are experiencing the peace and joy of God’s forgiveness, kindness and transformation: the powerful themes of Learn to Fly. Prelude have had individual careers as solo artists, and as session and back-up vocalists for many well-known artists including Amy Grant, Donna Summers, and Raven Symone on the Disney music video “A Dream is a Wish.” (from Recah PR)

Brian Littrell Already experiencing a momentous 2007, including sweeping this year’s CCM Magazine’s “Readers’ Choice Awards,” garnering a Dove Award nod and performing at the 15th Annual MovieGuide Faith & Values Awards, award-winning artist Brian Littrell continues his non-stop pace in Japan, where he performed four sold-out shows last week; one with a surprise visit from his cousin, former Backstreet Boy, Kevin Richardson. “Kevin is currently with the cast of Chicago, which is performing in Tokyo,” says Littrell. “I went to see him on Sunday night, and then on Monday, he came to my show. He surprised the audience by walking on stage and joining me in singing, ‘I Want It That Way’. The crowd went crazy. It was a great moment.” Littrell received an overwhelming welcome from capacity crowds at his two shows in Tokyo, along with his performances in Osaka and Nagoya. Returning to the States on Saturday, he was able to rest for a couple of days with his family, then immediately returned to writing for his next solo album, and finishing up the next Backstreet Boys album which is due out this summer. Haste The Day Indianapolis favorite, Haste The Day is preparing for the release of their third album, Pressure The Hinges on March 20th on Solid State Records. In doing so, they have released to their Myspace page (www.myspace.com/hastetheday) their new single “Stitches” and are headed to LA to film the video for that song. “Stitches” was written by Haste The Day members Brennan Chaulk and Stephen Keech, and Keech states what the inspiration behind it is, “Everyone knows at least one person in their life who destroyed their life with drugs or alcohol. The song is about the need of intervention from a loved one (friend of family member), and the use of five words that can change that person’s life: you're worth more than this. Sometimes we, as the loved one, have a hard time saying those words creating stitches in our mouth.” The video was shot in California and shows a powerful band performance with undercutting images between two different stories. Both stories will have the same theme; however each story will have an individual feel, characters and problems. After selling over 100,000 copies of their combined albums, Haste The Day is prepared to have a blow out third release that includes not only the single disc album, but also a deluxe version with bonus tracks and DVD including 2 live shows, past music videos and more. These road dogs and favorites on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball will be fully kicking into high gear the promotion of the record when the band hits the road on tour co-headlining with From Autumn To Ashes starting March 6th in Buffalo, NY. Dizmas Dizmas is getting pumped for the May 22nd release of their sophomore album, Tension. Guitarist Jon Howard writes, "We're really really excited about our new record, Tension. We wrote those songs over a year and a half period. The songs reflect our lives...Everything going on around us and in us. I think we've grown up a lot since On A Search In America. I mean, that's expected... I was just 19 when we recorded that record. In fact, most of us were. Now we're on the brink of being 22 and 23, and it feels good to be able to spill our guts through this music. It's such a beautiful thing. I can't even begin to put into words how good God is. Sometimes we try to be so profound... God can't be confined to just words or music. He is God and He is infinite. He doesn't need us to record a CD or write a blog or be in a band. This will all be gone one day. Everything here... And, the reason that may seem profound is because it's the truth. Thirst for Truth above all else." (from Myspace.com)

Lincoln Brewster Integrity Music artist Lincoln Brewster's single "Everlasting God" is currently the Number #2 song nationally on A/C radio this week. All three national charts R&R, CRW and Mediabase rank "Everlasting God" as the #2 song in the nation. Brewster's #2 single marks a new milestone for Integrity Label Group. While no stranger to top of the Praise & Worship and Inspirational radio charts, Integrity artists had not achieved a Top Ten single on the pop chart before Brewster's song. "We congratulate Lincoln not only for making Integrity history, but more importantly, for making music that is resonating with Christian radio and music fans everywhere," said Don Moen, president of Integrity Label Group. "Lincoln's talent is only just beginning to be recognized and I believe Christian radio will be hearing much more from him in the future." "Everlasting God" is from Brewsters latest Integrity release, Let The Praises Ring: The Best of Lincoln Brewster. This 17-track album offers favorites from Brewster including the title song, "Majestic" and "Love The Lord," along with a live, instrumental version of "Here I Am To Worship," and the new song "Everlasting God." Prior to Let The Praises Ring, Brewster has recorded four solo albums a self-titled debut, Live To Worship, Amazed, and All To You, and has made guest appearances on numerous Integrity projects. Music has been an integral part of Brewster's life since early childhood when he began playing the mandolin at age five. However, it was the electric guitar that truly caught his heart when he was only nine years old. And, it is the electric guitar for which he has become known and respected by fans and critics alike. That love for the guitar took him down a winding road that included a stint playing for rocker Steve Perry (Journey) and recording offers from mainstream labels all before he was 21. However, Brewster walked away from the promise of rock stardom feeling led to work with his local church, where he served in youth and worship leadership, before meeting up with Integrity Music, where he found a label home that would allow him to record his own brand of rock-tinged worship. Additional information on Brewster is available at www.lincolnbrewster.com. (from Spinhouse PR)

Orrico So many rumors have spiraled around about the whereabouts of Stacie Orrico's latest release, Beautiful Awakening. Well Stacie recently sent an email of explanation to fansite StacieOrrico.org. Here's a portion of it... ""I thought I would give you a little first hand update on what is going on with me. Virgin Records is merging with Capitol Records. As a result my label is going through, yet another, HUGE transition. It's so common in the record business right now, but albums and artists often get lost in the shuffle, and they don't get the attention needed to have a good release and successful run. Taking all of that into account, Virgin Records (I guess now Capitol Records) and I have decided to part ways. I have poured SO much into the Beautiful Awakening project and want to make sure that it is released at the right time and finds its home with the right label. I know it seems like it's taking an eternity, but I SO FULLY trust that God is in control and that this is all happening for a reason. I should be stressed, but I'm not at all. I am completely at peace during this season! So here is the amazing news! Leaving Virgin has freed up my time to do something that I have dreamed about for many years! I am moving to Africa for a few months to work in the townships with Children infected with Aids! Statistics say that 50% of the children under the age of 15 will die in the next 10 years from this ghastly disease, and I am ready to go help fight the fight first hand..." Group 1 Crew Fervent Records’ self-titled freshman bow from Group 1 Crew is generating an early buzz with a Top 25 debut spot on SoundScan’s Christian retail chart. The high retail positioning only reflects the album’s CBA release following a Feb. 20 national debut. Group 1 Crew released at general market retail on Feb. 27. The project additionally debuted this week in the Top 10 on the Christian digital album chart and follows the strong November, 2006 launch of its acclaimed digital EP at all major digital music outlets, including Napster, Yahoo! and Rhapsody. Already heralded as a breakout act of 2007, media embraced Group 1 Crew since receiving advance music last December. Radio has also embraced Group 1 Crew, as the second single from the CD, “Love Is A Beautiful Thing,” is currently climbing in the Top 25 amidst Radio & Records’ CHR chart. The song will go for adds at CCM AC radio on March 23. Group 1 Crew recently completed a street week tour promoting the new album throughout the Midwest and Eastern US. During the run, the group performed at public schools and churches, including a youth event at T.D. Jakes’ The Potter’s House, and was further featured on Nashville’s FOX “Tennessee Mornings” show, LeSea Broadcasting’s Harvest Show and a pre-taped performance for Daystar TV’s “Celebration.” Group 1 Crew is also set to join Superchic[k]’s “Generation Rising Tour” this spring. Group 1 Crew was founded when group visionary and veteran emcee, Manwell, formed a Bible study for local musicians three years ago and united with Pablo and Blanca. The eclectic trio pieced together their diverse styles and created an original sound, fusing their assorted influences ranging from Beethoven to The Black Eyed Peas. Ginny Owens 20-year old Ronell Ragbir may be thousands of miles away from her native Trinidad, but she feels at "home" in Memphis thanks in large part to dozens of local folks who are making a life long dream a reality. Ronell arrived at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in April of 2004 and was diagnosed with osteoscarcoma (cancer of the bone). After multiple surgeries, a leg amputation, chemotherapy and radiation, the cancer persists and has metastasized throughout her body. Doctors are not optimistic about her prognosis. This grim news has not stopped the burgeoning singer/songwriter or the dozens of Memphis area volunteers who are helping to fulfill what could well be a final wish to perform her original songs in front of a live audience. Ronell's "A Celebration of Life" concert will be held on Thursday, March 22nd at the Colonial Hills Church in Southaven (7701 Hwy 51 N., Southaven, MS 38671) and is open free of charge to the public. Doors open at 6 PM for the 6:30 PM performance. Popular Rocketown Records recording artist Ginny Owens will open for Ronell and is writing a special song with her that will debut at the concert. Owens says, "I am both humbled and excited to be able to engage with this special young lady. Upon meeting Ronell, I realized she has learned lessons about life, which many of us will never fully grasp. She joyfully celebrates its fullness, bravely embraces its circumstances, and understands its brevity." Event organizer Tom Bowen, whose son Ben lost a battle with cancer two years ago was one of the first to learn of Ronell's wish. Bowen says, "When my wife and I learned about Ronell's dream and that she was in the end stages of cancer, we just started making some calls. It just snowballed. Don Donahue at Rocketown Records coming on board with Ginny Owens was a huge blessing. Now, we just need an audience!" Next month, Bowen and his wife, Jennifer, launch the non-profit Childhood Cancer Network, an organization providing mentors for parents whose children are fighting cancer. Part of the mission of the organization is to provide "wishes" for young people and children when they do not meet the criteria for other "wish" programs or timeliness is a critical issue. Bowen and Owens are hoping to fill all 1600 seats on March 22nd. Owens says, "Those who experience Ronell will be moved by her sheer presence and changed by her unshakable faith. It is her prayer that many will come to celebrate her journey and that many more will celebrate her legacy. Now that I know Ronell, this is my prayer as well." (from Rocketown Records)

Christafari Over a decade before Matisyahu introduced the world to his unique brand of Hasidic Reggae, Christafari was making waves with their original blend of Gospel Reggae. Through the years, these trailblazers have been crafting one of the most impressive catalogues in Christian music. With over 10 full-length releases and involvement in countless compilations, it's no wonder that Christafari's cumulative album sales have reached over 400,000 units to date. In the fall of 2006, bandleader and founder Mark Mohr embarked on the next chapter of Christafari's career, creating their rootsiest effort to date with the upcoming CD To The Foundation. Recorded with all live instruments, plenty of horns and percussion and various guest vocalists (a veritable who's who of the Gospel Reggae arena), the album moves from roots reggae to lover's rock to dancehall and back again. Lyrically, this project is jam-packed with the unwavering Word of God. Christafari continues to display their dedication to utilizing sound doctrine and a host of Biblical references on every single song--ensuring that the Gospel is clearly proclaimed without compromise. With this album Christafari is boldly marching forward, continuing to pioneer a blossoming genre while shaping the future of Christian music. "I don't strive to make a hit, but a classic," says Mohr. "When in the studio, I think 'How will this sound ten or twenty years from now?' I want to record music that will endure for decades so that the message of Jesus Christ will continue to bear fruit for generations to come." Christafari is far more than a band. Led by Mohr, an ordained minister, they are an evangelistic, counter-cultural drug aversion ministry, using reggae music and the spoken word to reach a wayward generation. Mohr clearly sums up the purpose of Christafari's new album: "With the release of To The Foundation, it is our desire to see listeners build their lives on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. We want them to be firmly planted in His teachings and moving forward in His Spirit." But there's no denying the impact that Christafari has had on the music industry. The award-winning group's previous three studio albums have all reached the Top 10 on Billboard's Top Reggae Albums Chart. The group has performed in 35 countries and toured with such artists as Wayne Wonder, dcTalk and World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Evander Holyfield. Christafari has been featured on the Reggae Sunsplash Tour and the Bob Marley Day Tour, as well as high profile appearances at the 1996 Olympic Games (Atlanta), 2002 Winter Olympics (Salt Lake City), President Clinton’s Inaugural Ball in Washington DC (with Jewel), St. Kitts Music Festival, Spirit West Coast, Cornerstone Festival, Greenbelt Festival, Flevo Festival, Frizon Festival, Reggae on the River and more. The debut single "Freedom Step" can be heard online at www.GospelReggae.com, as well as an exclusive interview with Mark Mohr. A new song and exclusive interview will be posted each week until the album's release. (from Nashville Publicity)

Two time Dove Award winning guitarist Rex Carroll (Fierce Heart, King James, The Rex Carroll Band, and Whitecross) will be playing The Rex Carroll Sessions live at the Cornerstone Festival thursday June 28th on the Santuary Stage.
