San Antonio, TX…. January 19, 2020- San Antonio Christian band Becoming Sons has announced via Facebook that they have signed with Sancrosanct records. Sancrosanct is home to bands such as Ecclesiast, As Lions and Lambs, and We Are Victory. They were also once home to The Burial who would later go on to be signed by Facedown Records. With only being on the label for a short amount of time, Becoming Sons is already planning to announce a summer tour that would hit 7 different states.

Becoming Sons released news early in 2019 that they had to part ways with lead guitarist Alex Garza. Shortly after Alex’s departure, lead vocalist/guitarist Daniel Bas parted ways from the band as well. After a short search for new members, Chris Rodriguez joined as the bands lead guitarist. Initially their plan was to find another guitarist that could sing and play guitar, however Roger Garza joined as the bands lead vocalist. Roger was quoted saying “I believe even though I could play guitar and sing, being on stage independent from a physical instrument allows me to interact with and engage the audience easier.”. That left an additional position available in the band as a rhythm guitarist, which was quickly filled by a pastor of a local church, Marvin Perez.

The band has labelled itself a “Metal Praisecore” band. This is partially due to the fact that most all their lyrics are derived directly from the Bible. They are also very forward on their faith from the stage and off. Becoming Sons is halfway through recording their next album set to be released in the spring. With the addition of the new members of the band, their sound will likely contain no likeliness to the 2018 released EP “Flesh to Death”. This is due to the fact that both guitarists have been replaced.

Becoming Sons has a Spring Break tour planned for 2020 called “Sound for the Crown” which is a Texas Gulf Coast based tour visiting many local churches in cities like Galveston, Corpus Christi, and South Padre Island. In addition to all that is going on they have also released a new improved website becoming-sons.com . All Information about upcoming and shows can be found there.
