Matthew West Surprised with RIAA Platinum Certification of "The Motions" Commemorating Career Milestone

Nashville, Tenn. (Dec. 13, 2018) –Yesterday, Capitol Christian Music Group surprised Matthew West with an RIAA certified platinum (1 million single sales) plaque commemorating his landmark song, "The Motions." No. 1 at Christian airplay for eight weeks with over 170 million global streams, the hit single marks West's first career RIAA certified platinum single.

West is currently headlining Compassion LIVE’s first ever “The Roadshow Christmas Tour,” followed by “The Roadshow Tour” 2019. Throughout February and March, West will be accompanied on “The Roadshow Tour” 2019 by Tenth Avenue North, Matt Maher and Leanna Crawford with worship from special guest, Michael W. Smith. About Matthew West:
Matthew West is a four-time GRAMMY® nominee, a multiple-ASCAP Christian Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year winner and Dove Award recipient and was awarded an American Music Award (2013), a Billboard Music Award (Top Christian Artist, 2014), a K-LOVE Fan Award (2016), and named Billboard’s Hot Christian Songwriter of the Year (2016).
