Album Cover
#14. Nine Lashes
From Water To War

Release Date: January 21, 2014
Nine Lashes probably isn't for everybody. They're brash. They're on the heavier side. But with their most recent album, they took a huge step forward in winning themselves a new fan. More accessible than their last outing, I found From Water to War worth checking out, even from someone who dismissed them in the past.
        - John "Flip" Choquette

These Alabama rockers promised me an album a little different from their Tooth & Nail debut when I interviewed them last October. I'm excited to see where these guys take their sound as they showed signs of breaking a rather stagnant mold in the modern rock scene. It will be interesting to see how their more heavily saturated electronic sound will be received.
        - Michael Weaver

Nine Lashes got off to a strong start with their 2009 indie release, and 2012's World We View only further polished and denominated their gritty pop/rock style. With a solid radio single already making the rounds, Nine Lashes looks to be winding up for a solid punch to kick off 2014.
        - David Craft
