One of the early albums in Showbread's career, Human Beings Are Too Shallow To Fall In Love has a lot less of the new sound that they brought on Age Of Reptile. But dont get me wrong, this is a solid album. One of the high points is that it features alot of Showbread's original key elements, mainly frantic changes in pace and lots of screaming. Still, in songs like "Letters To April and Dreams Do Not Come True," we get to see Showbread's soft side.
The low of this album lies with its quality, which is pretty poor, but not so bad that you don't know what you're hearing. Another low point is the lack of keytar - or at least, very little of it. All in all, this indie release is a must have for any Showbread fan or anyone who enjoys post-hardcore music.
